Czech Republic 2010

As part of the Comenius Project, I went to the Czech Republic with three other students and two teachers to a town called Ostrava. It’s got so much character and it’s really quite sweet. Here, we visited an art school and stayed with some students there, so it was really good to get to know the people of the country, rather than just see the sights that everyone else gets to see.

Having said this, we did visit Prague and of course we went to the normal tourist spots such as the Charles Bridge and the top dog’s building. We got to look around all the main shopping streets and even got a fancy burger dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe while listening to a live band.

It was a really beautiful place and all the people that we met were super lovely. I feel like we didn’t have enough time to look around though! I’d love to visit the Czech Republic again, it’s subtly beautiful and there’s something about it that just feels right…
